What are the responsibilities and job description for the Triage Specialist position at Digestive Specialists, Inc.?
GI Triage Position
This is an entry level position; applicant should possess a knowledge of medical terminology and computers.
Applicants must have a valid Ohio Drivers Lcense as travel between offices is required.
Responsibilities include: taking vital signs, updating patient records, prepping charts, escorting patient to and from exam room, processing recalls, processing no show and cancellation correspondence, patient education, explaining prep instructions, making prep packets for procedures, scheduling follow-up appointments and procedure visits, retrieving medical records, completing assigned tasks, checking for open orders, and processing referrals.

Applicants must work well in a team environment, have excellent communication and computer skills.. Understanding of HIPPA law is required. Patient confidentiality must be treated with utmost importance.
Competitive compensation based on experience.
Employment is based on the above requirements as well a background check and drug testing.
