What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Machine Operator position at Digga North America, LLC?
Job Duties
- Operates/programs machines; measures, and positions material in assigned machine in order to cut/form/fold/ material to specified size as per M3 ERP system
- Programs/operates machine to control speed, material feed and path of cut as well as making sure machine is set up correctly
- Selects material and prepares specification settings as per manufacturing order instructions
- Records capacity times and wastage through M3 ERP system
- Carry out necessary check and quality assurance
- Operates overhead / Jib cranes and forklifts as required to move stock
- Minimizes material waste by best practice utilization
- Maintain equipment in a safe, clean, and good working order
- Communicate with Management regarding any parts/machine discrepancies, which need to be rectified immediately
- Clocks each job in and out using computer system
- Keep workshop area including floor clean and tidy and in a safe working condition
- To ensure compliance of OH&S, company policies and legislation
- Be responsible for the care and use of all workshop tools and equipment and return to correct place after use
- To perform other duties as required from time to time as requested
Skills
- Extensive experience using Steel processing machines in a manufacturing environment
- Understanding of Tooling
- Good hand/eye coordination
- Ability to read drawings; job specifications/ instructions
- Component Computer skills
