This position serves as the member of a team with the responsibility to ensure the highest quality service is provided to our customer through the generation and control of program processes, performance of regularly scheduled internal process audits and the consistent facilitation of structured improvement activities. The successful candidate will be an agent for change, possess high energy, have a passion for quality, and be self-motivated. The environment demands the ability to quickly establish working relationships with coworkers/customers in various national capital region locations.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) Responsible for activities involving quality assurance and compliance with applicable contract and regulatory requirements
b) Provides independent assessment of how the project’s software development process is being implemented relative to the defined process and recommends methods to optimize process
c) Conducts audits and reviews/analyzes data and documentation
d) Develops and implements procedures and plans for assuring quality in a system development environment which supports large databases and applications
e) Manage program instantiation of the Quality Management System
f) Deploy and implement appropriate QMS processes
g) Recommend, facilitate, track and report on continuous process improvement activities
h) Implement audit practices for internal processes and products
i) Ensure adherence to all standards, policies, and best practices
j) Support the development and collection of performance metrics
k) Track, analyze and report to program management on trends found in the performance metrics
l) Provide the program manager with timely metrics and audit outcomes to gauge progress towards quality objectives
m) Report to higher level management on Quality Achievement and act as liaison for enterprise quality initiatives for the program.
n) Review and submit contract deliverables

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
a) IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) 4 Certification
Experience providing Quality Management with Software Development and IT Service Management Projects
b) Lean Six-Sigma Green Belt
c) Experience auditing to external quality standards such as ISO9001/ISO20000/AS9100/CMMI Dev or Svc
d) Experienced with peer reviews and process auditing
e) Experience collecting and analyzing metrics
f) Ability to multi-task, complete tasks without direct supervision, and function in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
g) Strong verbal and written skills
h) Proficiency with MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, & Project)
i) Ability to support limited domestic travel
Candidate must be a US Citizen
Candidate must have a MA/MS degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience. This may be substituted with a BS/BA degree and a minimum of 6 years of total experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
a) Certified Lean Six-Sigma Black Belt
b) Experience with Agile principles
c) Apollo Root Cause Analysis (ARCA) training or equivalent.
d) Formal auditor training
e) Experience in Software development environment
f) Understanding of Configuration Management principles
