We are actively hiring for a Stitcher Operator for our plan in Van Nuys, CA

2 Shifts : 1st M-F - 5 : 30am – 2pm

2nd M-F – 1 : 30pm – 10pm

Pay Range : $18 to $21 per year. Actual compensation within the range will depend on a variety of factors including the individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable laws.

The Stitcher Operator is responsible for the set-up, adjustment and operation of the stitcher machine. The Stitcher Operator will follow the specification from the gang sheet to determine the thickness / length and how many forms the job has to organize them in order. After an accurate set-up of the stitcher machine, the Stitcher Operator will do a practice run to ensure accuracy before doing the complete run. While running the stitcher machine, the Stitcher Operator will ensure that each stitched job meets the gang sheet specifications in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities :

• Access IMS program to determine priority jobs and set workload for the day.
• Determine the thickness and the number of forms to place them in order.
• Set up stitcher machine’s speed and run a do a test run to ensure proper adjustments have been made.
• Observe stitching machine while running the whole job to make any adjustments and ensure a smooth and accurate stitched job.
• Replace worn parts and adjust to ensure an accurate operation, using hand tools when required.
• Record production and operational data using IMS system, such as entering completed jobs.
• Report all workplace hazards to management immediately.
• Ensure all equipment, tools, and workstation are in good working order and is free of any safety hazards.
• Must be available for any required overtime based on business needs.
• Must be proactive with completing other duties as assigned.
