Position: Director of Nursing (DON)
Location: Moses Lake, WA
Pay Rate: $69/hr
Contract Duration: 9 weeks
Shift: 8 hrs shifts (7:00 AM-4:30 PM)
Guarantee hour: 40/hr

Overview
The Director of Nursing (DON) plays a pivotal role in overseeing the nursing department within our healthcare facility. This leadership position is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of patient care, compliance with regulatory requirements, and the effective management of nursing staff. The DON will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to promote a safe and nurturing environment for residents while upholding their rights and dignity.

Experience:

RN: 2 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:
BLS Certification (Preferred)

RN License (Preferred)
Ability to Commute: WA

Ability to Relocate:
Moses WA : Relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure quality patient care.
• Lead and manage nursing operations, including shift management and staffing assignments.
• Conduct regular documentation reviews to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
• Implement and monitor systems that enhance nursing practices and improve patient outcomes.
• Ensure adherence to Medicare regulations and guidelines within the nursing department.
• Advocate for resident rights, ensuring that all staff members uphold these principles in daily practice.
• Maintain knowledge of HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality and privacy.
• Provide leadership in nursing administration, including policy development and implementation.
• Utilize knowledge of physiology to inform clinical decision-making and care planning.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a nursing environment.
• Strong understanding of documentation review processes and regulatory compliance.
• Familiarity with Medicare requirements and resident rights advocacy.
• Excellent shift management skills, demonstrating the ability to lead teams effectively.
• In-depth knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient care and information management.
• Background in nursing administration with a focus on improving operational efficiency.
• Comprehensive understanding of physiology as it relates to patient care practices.
