WHAT? Summer 2025 On-Campus Job Opportunity! Held at Cornell University, Ithaca NY. NASA award winning DIGIVATIONS INSTITUTE, presents the World's First Overnight Half-Blood, Harry Potter, Fandom and XGENS International Model UN SDG Institute for youth ages 11-17. College students have the opportunity to participate in personalized part-time internship in a Cornell Lab based on their interests.


WHEN? Dates: June 30-August 10 (Cornell). Applicants may choose to work for all or a portion of the summer (no less than 2 weeks)



WHO? FACULTY & COUNSELORS:

Our seasoned faculty are recruited from industry and university, have excellent peer reviews, and are required to have both expertise in the aforementioned domains and substantial teaching experience in the secondary and post secondary fields with a track record of successfully developing the emotional and intellectual qualities of youth and young adults. Ideally they have or have worked with children.


Our senior counselors and young scholars are often retained from various well known university co-op and other relevant college programs, possess an outstanding academic record & references, and have ideally and successfully worked in some early leadership capacities such as Model UN, Performance, Sports, Scouts, Student Government and Camp counseling or camp participative roles where they been recognized for their empathy, leadership and mentorship.


Counselors and Counselors-In-Training demonstrate a developing expertise in one or more of the identified fields of study, possess an excellent academic record, have been immersed in one or more extracurricular activities in the DIGIVATIONS subject matter, and display characteristics that are invaluable to mentoring and leading children and youth especially empathy and kindness.


WHAT? Hiring motivated and dedicated Young Scholars and Counselors (adults, ages 18-22) Successful candidates have a solid academic background and a strong interest in mentoring. Preference is given to students who have experience with peer mentoring or as mentors in academic programs.


Innovation Class: Expertise in ENVIRONMENTALISM, EQUITY, FOOD AND WATER SECURITY, SUSTAINABLE INFRASTRUCTURE, FUTURE OF WORK WITH PURPOSE AND REDUCE POVERTY AND SOCIAL INJUSTICE. Art, Musical and Theatrical works are rooted in scientific topics and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals so Faculty and Young Scholars should have an understanding and passion for the SDGs. Collaborative work using “Design Thinking” processes which students will apply to hypothetical and actual development, as well as implementation of one or more solutions to their own local community challenges.

Fine Art: You will be teaching drawing and painting and one other studio of your choice: Digital Media or Ceramics.


Theater: Successful candidates will be teaching improvisation, sword fighting and hand-to-hand combat along with other topics of your choice: costume design, set building, film or musical performance.


Creative Writing: skills at the intersection of both art and storytelling alongside other student practitioners and under the guidance of industry professionals. Must be able to focus intensively on at least two genres of creative writing of your choice: Fiction, Nonfiction, Playwriting, Poetry or Libretto. Additionally, preferred candidates will be interested in teaching the fundamentals of graphic novels, graphic memoirs, comic books, limited panel comics, and web comics; and be able to work in manual and digital storytelling environments. Workshop and critique student work throughout the session to support and motivate students to take risks.


Ancient Cultures & Mythology: Must be intimately familiar with the Percy Jackson book series and have studied Ancient Cultures and Greek Mythology. Creative writing and familiarity with creating quests based on STEM material from the Innovation Class content is preferred.

HOW MUCH? Successful candidates will receive Room, Board, Weekly Stipend, university & professional recommendations provided after successful completion of the work period. All tuition is waived: Counselors are expected to develop their interests through substantive discussions with the Directors and Faculty.


Camp Counselors-in-Training (ages 15-17) will receive Reduced Costs for Tuition, Room & Board, Community Service Credit & university & professional recommendations provided after successful completion of the internship period. CITs are expected to develop their interests through substantive discussions with the Directors and Faculty.


Medical Interns may receive Room, Board, Weekly Stipend & professional recommendations depending on qualifications. Medical Interns may include Medical, Nurse Practitioner, Nursing or EMT students. Current or recently graduated medical professionals are encouraged to apply. Interns may work under the direction of an experienced Nurse Practitioner.
