Help Desk Technician II
Support our workforce and technology systems as a Help Desk Technician on our IT team. As a primary point of contact for end users, you’ll provide overall internal support and maintenance within IWP’s computing environment This role provides support to staff on all company-supported applications and requires technical and customer service skills.
Learn, grow, and build connections while you assist in developing long-term strategies and capacity planning for future technology initiatives. We’ll draw on your hands-on troubleshooting experience to research PC issues and recommend potential products to continuously improve our systems.
Facilitate user success and recommend innovative approaches along the way – your input is valuable!
What You’ll Do
- Provide level one support on help desk requests, and properly route those requiring escalation
- Follow up on outstanding requests and ensure timely resolution of tickets
- Create accounts and configure hardware as part of the new employee on-boarding process
- Support audio and video equipment in conference rooms
- Manage and monitor internal assets to ensure accurate inventory records
- Review and propose suggestions for internal resources and support documentation
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- Computer Science degree and/or 2 years’ relevant work experience
- Any certifications (MCSA, MCSE, etc.) considered a plus
- Familiarity with current operating systems and platforms, including Windows 10, Microsoft Office desktop applications, Office 365, IOS, and Android
- VPN connectivity experience
- Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to communicate technical information, both verbal and written, to a wide range of end-users
- Ability to identify and resolve computer system malfunctions and operations problems.
- Ability to comprehend technical manuals, procedural documentation and OEM guides
- Flexible and self-motivated, with strong customer service and collaboration skills
- Eagerness to learn new systems and technologies, and build your technical skillset
- On-call availability for after-hours priority issues
