Job Description
The purpose of this position is to provide in-plant inspection services for the manufacturing of standard heavy-duty transit buses. The Resident Inspector must be local to the area where the inspections will be conducted.
Responsibilities:
- Review and become familiar with the manufacturer's in-plant quality control system.
- Identify and report any non-compliance or deviations from quality standards in real-time.
- Document these issues immediately and report them directly to both the manufacturer's designated quality control representative and DART's PM and DPM and/or designee.
- Review installation drawings, electrical schematics, manuals, non-conforming material tags, welding inspection, and other documentation as needed for each unit in production for detail and accuracy.
