Job Description :
We are seeking a highly skilled Mainframe Developer with a minimum of 9 years of experience for an onsite position in Missouri. The ideal candidate will work with a leading banking domain client ensuring robust mainframe solutions that align with business needs and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities :
Design develop and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL JCL DB2 CICS and VSAM.
Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Perform enhancements troubleshooting and debugging of existing mainframe applications.
Optimize batch processing and online transactions for efficiency and performance.
Collaborate with business analysts architects and stakeholders to gather requirements and develop solutions.
Conduct code reviews unit testing and integration testing.
Ensure compliance with banking regulations and security protocols.
Provide production support and resolve critical issues in a timely manner.
Document system designs workflows and operational procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
9 years of handson experience in mainframe development.
Strong expertise in COBOL JCL DB2 CICS VSAM and IMS.
Experience in the banking or financial services domain is required.
Proficiency in performance tuning debugging and batch processing.
Knowledge of mainframe modernization and migration strategies is a plus.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices in mainframe development.
Knowledge of API integrations with mainframe systems.
Exposure to Cloud and modern banking technologies is a plus.
Certifications in Mainframe Technologies would be an advantage
