Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various painting techniques and a solid understanding of construction processes. This role requires attention to detail and proficiency with hand tools. The Painter will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring high-quality finishes on various projects.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or imperfections.
- Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or airless paint spraying equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project requirements.
- Collaborate with carpenters and other construction professionals to ensure seamless integration of work.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Estimate materials needed for projects and assist in construction estimating as required.
- Install fixtures as needed in conjunction with painting tasks.
- Work with stucco and plaster as necessary for surface preparation and finishing.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Painter or similar role in the construction industry.
- Familiarity with hand tools and painting equipment.
- Knowledge of plastering techniques is a plus.
- Experience in reading blueprints and schematics is essential.
- Ability to maintain a clean work environment while adhering to safety standards.
- Previous experience with fixture installation is preferred.
