Branch Manager Role
The Branch Manager shall be responsible for the daily planning and directing of resources within the branch to reach assigned sales, profitability, and operational goals. This includes profit and loss responsibility as it relates to branch performance. The Manager is responsible for obtaining from the assigned territory the Company's share of the market for each of the product lines represented. The recommendations and decisions made by this person will have an organization-wide impact.

Responsibilities
- Review sales and margin reports regularly to identify areas of improvement.
- Maintain the appearance and safety of the store, warehouse, and property.
- Maintain staff, resolving issues where needed and completing evaluations.
- Continuously train new and existing employees to build team strengths.
- Ensure inventory remains organized and accurate, continuously tracking open and unconfirmed items.
- Resolve returns between customers, freight carriers, and manufacturers.
- Spread brand awareness and recognition through customer relationships and events.
- Conduct branch and territory reviews with your team, reviewing performance to plan and creating action plans for improvement.
Requirements
- 1-5 Years experience in a managerial role
- Experience working in and/or with customers in Industrial, Steel, and/or Commercial Construction
- 2-3 Years experience in outside and/or inside sales/customer service
- Financial Literacy (P&L, financial reports)
- Microsoft Office Suite Proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook, PPT)
- Preferred – Territory planning and/or allocation of customers/accounts/resources
- Communication and Presentation Skills
- Coaching Skills
- Ability to multitask, switching between tasks quickly and seamlessly
- High level of organization to a accomplish a large number of tasks with accuracy while prioritizing
- Problem solving skills with the ability to prioritize
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
This role works in an office environment with some time spent in a warehouse environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. While performing the duties of this role, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee may be required to lift up to 20 pounds independently and up to 50 pounds with assistance. While in a warehouse setting, the employee may be exposed to the outdoor weather temperature and loud noise. This role may require some weekend or late-night work as the employee is the sole manager responsible for the location’s operation and emergency response. Travel requirements are up to 25% of the role.
