Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and organized Veterinary Receptionist to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for pet owners, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations of our veterinary clinic. This role requires a love for animals, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Serve as the first point of contact for pet owners via phone, email, and in-person interactions during our afternoon and evening hours.
- Schedule appointments, answer questions, and provide general guidance about veterinary services. Manage the clinic’s calendar efficiently.
- Handle incoming calls, provide information about services, and address client inquiries.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update client information in the system.
- Process payments and manage medical collections effectively.
- Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming for clients.
- Provide basic knowledge of veterinary terminology to assist clients with their questions.
- Handle concerns and emergencies with empathy, professionalism, and urgency.
Qualifications
- Previous or animal care setting is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of animal anatomy, handling techniques, and aseptic procedures is a plus.
- procedures related to veterinary medicine is advantageous.
- Comfort with computers and scheduling software.
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.

- Basic understanding of medical collection processes is beneficial.
