Job Description

The Regional Director on the Practice Management team will be responsible for helping to deliver practice management tools, resources, and thought leadership to Dimensional’s Global Client Group (“GCG”) clients. The Regional Director will report directly to the Head of Practice Management. The position will be responsible for engaging with both existing and prospective clients, ensuring continued success of cornerstone studies while proactively enhancing the value-add for advisors and the internal sales teams.

To be successful, the Regional Director must have a solid foundational knowledge of business strategy and practice management as it relates to the financial services industry. The Regional Director must have a strong client service orientation and understand the issues and challenges Advisors face in building a client-centric, fee-based business. As well, the Regional Director can foster and support development of the Associates and Senior Associates on the team.

Primary Responsibilities

• Anchored by the Dimensional philosophy and approach to business analytics, help advisors identify key strategic and business opportunities and deliver practice management resources to address those opportunities
• Facilitate and deliver business consulting to clients that is based on study data and understanding of the client’s specific business
• Analyze, interpret and effectively communicate proprietary benchmark and survey data to identify key findings and trends
• Formulate and execute tailored practice management initiatives designed to support the advisor community
• Present practice management study and survey findings to GCG sales team, groups of advisors through study groups and conferences, and through one-on-one firm engagement
• Be a team-player with a creative spirit within the team and broadly
• Regularly demonstrate leadership characteristics within the team that supports the development of future talent
• Develop in-depth understanding of Dimensional’s GCG business, personnel, and clients
• Be a spokesperson and champion of the Dimensional brand and investment theory throughout the industry and marketplace
  
  

Qualifications

• Must have 5-7 years of experience in financial services with preferred focus on consulting, relationship management, or other client roles in the advisor industry
• Previous advisor practice management experience or extensive experience working in an advisory firm preferred
• Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to influence and build solid relationships
• An entrepreneurial spirit with high energy and passion; a self-starter.
• Team-oriented: ability to establish effective relationships, gain commitment and credibility and work effectively across internal constituencies
• Highly collaborative with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment
• Strong understanding and belief in Dimensional’s investment philosophy
• Significant experience with data or business analysis
• Ability to integrate research into the success of the business
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects at once
• Ability to present Dimensional’s business strategy research to small and large groups.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; Master’s degree in relevant discipline preferred
