Reporting to the Director of Creative Technology, this role is responsible for the daily operations of our Tech Team. This role constantly assembles and assesses best practices in hardware procurement, inventory management, AV engineering and service to ensure our solutions are consistent, feasible, scalable, timely and innovative.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONS may include but are not limited to:
- Leads and manages the A/V Engineering & Install, Tech Service and Hardware Procurement teams
- Along with the Service Manager, this role will oversee the Tech Ops team schedule and assist with the A/V Engineering, Install and Tech Service teams
- Leads utilization, productivity, quality, capacity planning, and workload balancing for A/V Engineering and Install, and Technology Service teams
- Establishes KPI goals for the team and oversees their progress
- Identifies processes, features, and functionalities that can be streamlined, improved upon, and scaled to future projects
- Establishes and implements best practices in quality assurance and user testing
- Mentors the Technology Service Manager to implement best practices to motivate and organize their team and any future manager positions added to the team
- Ensures key processes and reporting are executed
- Builds alignment with other department leads to collaborate effectively
- Drives ongoing team development opportunities while fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
- Performs annual reviews and provides on-going feedback to team members
- Leads the resourcing for the Tech Service and A/V teams to fulfill the tech installation and service needs of clients
- Responsible for hiring and onboarding of new team members for A/V Engineering and Tech Service teams
- Creates and maintains a healthy and satisfying work culture within the department
- Works closely with the Creative Studio, Technology, Engineering and Project Management teams to ensure best practices are followed for system design, installation, and service
- Sources and oversees any subcontract resources needed to complete a Technology project
- Works closely with the Director of Creative Technology to manage the A/V, service and tech hardware budget for the Technology team.
- Manages tech hardware inventory and associated budget in anticipation of client needs involving short timelines or hardware with long lead times
- Works closely with the Sales and Client Development teams to maintain visibility to client touch points via Tech service needs

- Accountable for Technology AV Engineering / Install team’s success and performance
- Proficient in latest technology for systems and management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Thorough understanding of IT and practical applications to support the company’s goals
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related program required
- 10 years of experience or a combination of education and experience in the commercial technology (A/V integration) industry
- 5 years of experience in managing a department specifically in Operations
