Firehawk Aerospace is a propulsion-focused aerospace and defense company based in the Dallas, TX area. Firehawk is seeking a manufacturing engineer, whose primary responsibilities would include developing and ensuring compliance to the quality control program and processes for the company. You will be directly engaged with all disciplines to ensure their contributions support the overall company quality program.

As a manufacturing engineer, you will serve as a point of contact to the other functions. Frequent communication and collaboration with other disciplines including Design Engineering, Production Operations, Quality Engineering, and Supply Chain are required. Your responsibilities will include:

Work Environment And Physical Requirements
Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit and to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 25 pounds; may require minimal walking, standing for extended amounts of time, climbing, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.
Security Clearance
May be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level. Requires U.S. Citizenship. Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.

- Designing and implementing manufacturing processes and procedures used in manufacturing.
- Improving manufacturing by developing new methods to make manufacturing more costeffective and efficient.
- Planning factory layouts to optimize production.
- Calculating production, labor, and material costs, and estimate future needs.
- Reviewing quality standards and check for problems.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline
- Minimum 35 years of professional experience
- MBOM structure & creation experience
- Experience with Windchill
- Experience with Manufacturing / Assembly / Production processes
- Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
- 5 years of experience in aerospace or related field
- Demonstrated drive to deliver on tight schedules, especially when unconventional & creative solutions are necessary
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, product / performance specifications and other systems integration technical data
- Experience in design for manufacturing
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles
- Process improvement experience
- GD&T experience
- Tooling experience
- Selfmotivated, performs work with the general direction
