Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Answer telephone promptly and in a polite and professional manner.
  • Schedule appointment correctly - review appointment date, time, location, and provider name with patient
  • Nurse Calls – eScribe, calling in refills, pulling patient information (via file chart or eClinical Works)
  • Inform caller of items to bring to appointment (including insurance card, medications, office co-pays, etc)
  • Remind new patients to arrive 15 to 30 minutes before scheduled appointment to complete necessary paperwork
  • Work closely with call center supervisor on appointment scheduling and services offered to ensure smooth patient flow and cut down waiting time.
  • Explain the services available, payment categories, and billing procedures.
  • Respond to patients’ inquiries, request, disputes over the phone, and route to appropriate department of staff.
  • Place outbound follow up calls to patients regarding confirmations, no shows, and cancelations.
  • Responsible for maintaining all provider schedules.
  • Maintains strictest confidentiality; adheres to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations manner
  • Perform all other tasks related to Call Center Department areas of responsibilities.
  • Any exercise deemed necessary by management in the operation of the clinic

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour
