Job Opening
The Johnstown office of Catholic Charities under the Diocese of Altoona Johnstown has an opening for a full-time Caseworker with a 36 hour work week to assess finances and circumstances which led to "emergency" for clients.
Responsibilities:
- Performing all aspects of client advocacy through assessment and intake
- Providing positive outcomes for clients
- Utilizing all community services relative to client needs
- Performing outreach endeavors
- Utilizing community services relative to client needs
Qualifications:
- Must be supportive of the mission of the Catholic Church
- Able to successfully complete background checks and training applicable to diocesan requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of experience or five years of experience
- Practical experience with human services organizations and Emergency Financial Assistance programs
- Able to professionally communicate on all levels while displaying compassion, understanding and confidentiality.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and internet-based intake systems
