Somerset County CYS provides services to children from birth to 18 years old, aimed at maintaining and increasing family stability, keeping children with their families, and placing children in temporary homes when necessary. The agency collaborates closely with private social service agencies, school districts, the Drug & Alcohol Commission, Developmental and Behavioral Health Services, and law enforcement agencies. These collaborations are integral to referrals, service planning, counseling, protective and adoption services, shelter and foster care, and institutional placements.
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Caseworker located in Somerset, PA. The Caseworker will handle day-to-day tasks which include managing case files, conducting home visits, providing counseling and support to children and families, coordinating services with external agencies, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. The role also involves making referrals, developing service plans, and participating in court proceedings as needed.
