The Principal is the leader of a Catholic school, responsible for providing overall guidance to facilitate the development of the total school community towards the goal of delivering high-quality Catholic education. Key areas of responsibility include spiritual leadership, curriculum development, financial management, personnel management, public relations, student/teacher/program evaluations, planning, and day-to-day operations.

Key areas of responsibility include spiritual leadership, curriculum development, financial management, personnel management, public relations, student/teacher/program evaluations, planning, and day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a Catholic environment within the school where religious truths and values are integrated with life, fostering community and service.
- Encourage and promote programs of worship, student activities, and Catholic social action aligned with the school's philosophy.
- Provide opportunities for teachers and staff to participate in professional development, retreats, days of reflection, and workshops.
- Employ teachers and staff who uphold Catholic values, offering new employees an orientation program.
- Support teachers in achieving Catholic educational goals through supervision, classroom visits, evaluation, and follow-up conferences.
- Oversee ongoing review and development of curricula aimed at excellence.
- Manage day-to-day administration of the building and program, health and safety requirements, transportation, and all aspects of school life.
- Assist the Superintendent and School Advisory Board on matters concerning the school's welfare.
- Attend School Advisory Board Meetings regularly.
- Implement policies, regulations, and directives from the Diocesan Office of Catholic Schools and relevant state regulations.
- Collaborate with staff to set annual and long-range goals and objectives.
- Engage in regular professional growth through seminars, courses, or reading publications to stay updated on Catholic education trends.
- Establish open communication with staff members through informal and formal meetings to foster a cordial atmosphere, keep them informed, and involve them in policy and program decisions.
- Encourage parental involvement by providing opportunities for parent-teacher conferences and participation in the educational effort.
- Supervise clerical activities and auxiliary services, such as cafeteria, janitorial, and maintenance services.
- Maintain a continuous program of supervision and evaluation of the instructional program.
- Ensure proper maintenance of school records related to teachers, students, programs, finances, and other pertinent information.
- Promote positive public relations within the parish and wider community.
- Maintain contact with the Diocesan Office of Catholic Schools through attendance at sponsored events and meetings.
