Essential Functions:
- Performs general repairs of Parish facilities and buildings, including Church, Parish Center & Rectory.
- Performs and manages the exterior of the Parish buildings to ensure an optimal aesthetic appearance. This includes:
- Check parish properties for litter.
- Raking lawn of leaves and removal of brush and debris
- Lawnmowing and weed eating of grounds including cemetery.
- Snow removal from entrances as needed.
- Salt entrances in winter, as necessary.
- Perform miscellaneous duties and maintenance activities. These include:
- Ensure facilities security.
- Any other duties assigned by Manager.
Qualifications:
To perform this position successfully, an individual must demonstrate regular attendance and be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge and skill required. The individual must be able to successfully pass a background check.
Education/Certification:
Requires a high school diploma and equivalent experience/education.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Ability to organize, effectively prioritize and execute tasks in an efficient manner.
- Ability to work independently in a collaborative environment.
- Is a good steward of the property, talents and resources that are assigned to him/her.
Physical Requirements:
To accomplish the essential functions of the position, one must be physically able to operate or work with vacuums, floor scrubbers/waxing, lawnmowers, lawn trimmers and snow removal equipment. The physical activities of the position include talking, reaching, grasping, lifting, bending, squatting, and other repetitive motions.
Working Conditions:
Work indoors and outdoors. Most of the time is spent on his/her feet, pushing, and lifting heavy items at times as well as working around noise from machinery.
