What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Activity Mentor (grade 6-9) position at Diocese of Green Bay?
Duties and Responsibilities:
“Embrace the mission and vision of the Catholic Diocese of Green Bay and work in accordance with Catholic Social Teachings and the moral and ethical values of the Catholic Church.”
Administers the Youth Middle School (6-9th grade) program by:
Visioning and establishing goals, objectives, and strategies.
Partner with another person that is your teammate in this program.
Design a youth relationship event one night per month outside of G.O.D. (Generations of Disciples) nights for 6-9th grade (Faith Formation Leader as a resource)
Member of the Faith Formation Team
Create calendar
Respected mentor with youth 6-9th grade
Maintain the POD, a youth gathering space in the lower level of the parish offices
Provide, monitor and create Youth Opportunities for 6th – 9th
Youth leadership teams
Drop ins
Visit youth in their settings
Communication
Communication
Bulletin information for all above
Newsletter information when necessary
Update web information for all above
Update and maintain resources for all above areas
Consider networking through professional memberships i.e. PROClaym and East side Youth Ministers
Assists in the general ministry of the parish by:
Performing duties and responsibilities as assigned by the pastor.
Participate with Pastoral Team as needed.
