Director of Communications and Public Relations
We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Communications and Public Relations to lead our communication efforts across all traditional and digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation of the Bishop's vision for evangelization through local and national initiatives.
- Develop and maintain relationships with diocesan leaders, parish and school leaders, and ministry leaders to highlight good works and tell the story of the diocese.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to provide counsel and strategy on key messaging.
- Develop and maintain a crises communication strategy and plan.
- Oversee digital content strategy for all diocesan communication platforms.
- Manage freelance photographers and contribute to the diocesan publication as needed.
Requirements:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- High proficiency in technology.
- Roman Catholic who upholds the teaching and traditions of the Catholic Church.
- Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Theology, or related field.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience.
