We are looking for a dynamic Director of Communications to lead our client's messaging, public relations, and digital presence. This role is responsible for shaping and executing a comprehensive communications strategy that effectively conveys their mission and impact. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in media relations, branding, and stakeholder engagement, with a deep understanding of community development and financial services.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 5-7 years of experience in communications, public relations, or marketing, preferably within a financial institution or community development sector.
- Strong track record of managing public relations initiatives and media outreach.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to develop and execute communications strategies that engage diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in content management systems (Drupal preferred) and Adobe Creative Suite (especially InDesign).
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience.
- Experience working with third-party PR firms and managing external communications partners.
- Master’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field.
- Experience leading media tours and coordinating executive speaking engagements.
Compensation: $150,000 - $170,000
Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
