What are the responsibilities and job description for the Theology Teacher position at Diocese of Orlando?
The qualified candidate will :
- Be a faithful, practicing Catholic.
- Have a degree in Theology or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Understand how to communicate, model, and promote the Catholic faith as articulated in Scripture, Tradition, and the Magisterium of the Church.
- Model relational ministry and act as a living witness to the Gospel message.
- Help students understand how to live their faith outside the walls of the Church by making course material relevant and compelling.
- Demonstrate the ability to teach standards-based instruction using various methodologies.
- Be able to handle classroom management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The ability to sit and stand for long periods of time. Must be able to reach, grasp, feel, and see up close and from afar. Must be able to use basic office computer hardware and peripherals, with or without reasonable accommodation. Must be able to communicate verbally and in written form. Tasks require the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and / or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (15 pounds).
