The working hours of this position are not limited to an 8-hour day. This person will need to be available in the evening and weekends, as needed. Must be willing to work in conditions of stress and function well under pressure.Physical and Sensory Requirements
This position frequently requires moving stock, stocking shelves, organizing donations, and keeping the store in customer-ready condition. This position also requires the ability to freely access all areas of the store including the selling floor, stock area, and register area. Operate and use all equipment necessary to run the store. Climb ladders. Move or handle merchandise throughout the store generally weighing 0-50 pounds.

- Actively promotes the vision and mission of the Thrift Store to customers and volunteers.
- Greets customers and ascertains what each customer wants or needs.
- Describes merchandise and explains use, operation, and care of merchandise to customers.
- Recommends, selects, and helps locate or obtain merchandise based on customer needs and desires.
- Computes sales prices, total purchases and receives and processes cash or credit payment.
- Answers questions regarding the store and its merchandise.
- Helps organize and maintain inventory to ensure store is well stocked.
- Helps to maintain a clean, attractive, and safe environment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
