Position Summary
St. Francis Xavier, a Catholic Jesuit institution dedicated to academic excellence and the formation of the whole person, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Finance and Facilities Director / Human Resources and Project Manager. This individual will oversee financial operations, facilities management, human resources, and project coordination to ensure the school's continued success in fulfilling its mission. This is a 12 month salaried position.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree, with a preference for candidates with a Catholic background and at least three years of relevant experience in finance, facilities, and / or human resources management.
Key Responsibilities
- Finance Management
- Oversee the school's budget, including preparation, forecasting, and management of financial reports in accordance / partnership with St. Joseph's Financial Services (consultant)
- Ensure compliance with all financial policies and regulations, including audits and tax filings.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes.
- Work collaboratively with the principal, director of advancement (for fundraising accounting), and finance committee to make informed financial decisions
- Facilities Management
- Oversee the maintenance, safety, and security of the school's facilities and grounds.
- Manage vendor contracts, including janitorial services, maintenance, and repairs.
- Develop and implement long-term facilities improvement plans in alignment with the school's strategic goals.
- Human Resources
- Coordinate hiring, onboarding, and training processes for faculty and staff.
- Manage employee benefits, contracts, and performance evaluations. Ensure compliance with employment laws and best practices.
- Foster a supportive and collaborative work environment rooted in Jesuit values.
- Project Management
- Lead special projects, including capital improvements, technology upgrades, and program expansions.
- Develop and manage timelines, budgets, and resources for all projects.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
