What are the responsibilities and job description for the High School English Teacher position at Diocese of Scranton?
The Diocese of Scranton is looking for a dynamic educator with strong interpersonal skills, the ability to differentiate instruction, and well versed in the Catholic Faith to teach High School English at our high school in Luzerne County. This is a long-term substitute position for the remainder of the 2024-25 school year. Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Education as well as PA Teaching Certificate for 7 – 12 English, PA Clearances, experience with technology, and excellent classroom management skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
- Manage classroom dynamics to create a positive learning environment.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through standardized testing and individualized feedback.
- Foster literacy and communication skills through diverse teaching methods.
