As an Accountant, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining financial accuracy and efficiency by reporting to the Controller and overseeing key accounting functions. Your responsibilities will include managing accounts payable, ensuring timely vendor payments, reconciling bank accounts, and handling corporate credit card transactions. Additionally, you’ll support store-level financial operations, analyze financial trends, conduct vendor audits, and drive process improvements to enhance overall efficiency and operational success.
What you’ll do:
- Accounts Payable & Expense Management – Process vendor payments, manage corporate credit card transactions and reconcile accounts.
- Financial Reporting & Analysis – Prepare general ledger entries, analyze financial trends, and conduct vendor audits.
- Operational & Store-Level Support – Assist with sales reporting, pricing updates, and system support for store operations.
- Process Improvement & Documentation – Enhance efficiency by refining accounting procedures and maintaining accurate documentation.
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or related field preferred.
- 2 years of accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Schedule and Location:
This is a full-time, Monday-Friday position based in our Albuquerque office. Remote work is not available, so candidates must be able to work on-site. There is some flexibility with schedule and hybrid work if needed.
