Position: Accounting Professional
Schedule: Full-time with major flexibility outside of deadlines; overtime may be required during peak deadlines
About Us:
We are a small local accounting firm that's been in the Albuquerque area since the late 80s. Hours during our deadline seasons are full time plus overtime. That is early Feb-Apr 15, the 2nd week of September, and first 2 weeks of October. Outside of that it would be the employee’s choice for schedule and weekly hours. We can accommodate full time all year or we can accommodate a smaller workload as well. We are looking for someone eager to grow with our company as we have plans to be here in this industry for decades to come.
Key Responsibilities:
E-File Tax Returns while checking data integrity.
Processing & Packaging completed tax returns to give back to client
Assist with tax preparation and filings during deadlines.
Minor Book Keeping Work
Collaborate with team members to meet client needs and deadlines.
Contribute to process improvements and efficiency within the office.
Qualifications:
2 years of experience in accounting or related industry (strongly preferred).
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work overtime during deadline periods.
Excellent communication skills and a growth-oriented mindset.
