Senior Account Manager
The Senior Account Manager is primarily responsible for communicating with customers and vendors, processing orders, and working with other departments to ensure orders are finished in time. This person will handle the orders once it is placed. They will then process, review, and oversee the order from beginning to end and update the customer along the way. This person needs to be comfortable working on computers and learning new ERP's. Experience with Excel is a must.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Reports to production manager
- Process and enter orders in E2 (will train)
- Thorough contract review, which includes reviewing government requirements and other regulatory/compliance requirements listed by the customer.
- Provide job requirements to purchasing department.
- Use job requirements to purchase products for certain customers by analyzing supply levels, limits, and needs.
- Promise the orders to the customer.
- Provide proactive communication to the customers:
- Respond to pull-in or push-out requests.
- Respond to any issues or concerns in a timely manner.
- Provide any customer specific job update reporting.
- Communicate any issues, shortages, requests, and other correspondence that may impact production with vendors and/or customers.
- Communicate with other departments (shop floor, assembly, deburring, etc.) to discuss capacity limitations, scheduling, problems, updates, etc.
- Work closely with the Production Manager to ensure all orders are processed thoroughly in a timely manner.
Job Specifications:
- Experience with Excel is a must
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in an account management role
- Experience with DoD requirements and contract review
- Communication, organization, and time management skills
- Great Attention to detail
- Verbal, persuasion and interpersonal skills
- Understanding the company's manufacturing operations and processes
- Ability to understand and interpret mechanical specifications and drawings
- Ability to learn, understand, and use our management software system
- Ability to negotiate contracts with vendors and customers
- Ability to perform in-depth review of customer contracts, including experience with government contracts and requirements.
- Not a supervisory role
- Occasional work from home but mainly an in-office position
