Position Overview

As a Systems Administrator at Dirbos, you will play a crucial role in our Infrastructure Team, supporting and managing our clients' IT environments. This position offers a dynamic work environment with both remote and on-site responsibilities, allowing you to collaborate with clients and colleagues while enjoying the flexibility of remote work. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently, track billable hours regularly and accurately, and maintain an organized workflow. A willingness to learn new technologies is highly valued.


Key Responsibilities

  • System Maintenance and Monitoring: Monitor and maintain clients' server infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Technical Support: Provide remote and on-site technical support to resolve IT issues and trouble tickets promptly.
  • Server Administration: Configure, deploy, and manage Windows and Linux servers, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other critical services.
  • Network Management: Assist in managing client networks, including switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain security best practices and compliance standards for clients' IT environments.
  • Backup and Disaster Recovery: Manage backup solutions and develop disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of client configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Collaboration: Work with team members and clients to identify and implement IT solutions aligned with clients' business objectives.
  • Client Training: Provide training and guidance to clients on IT best practices and technology solutions.
  • Independent Work & Time Tracking: Maintain a steady work pace and accurately track time spent on projects and tickets.
  • Scheduled On Call Support: As a 24/7/365 support provider. The infrastructure team will rotate after hours support.


Qualifications

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience as a Systems Administrator in a similar MSP environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows environments.
  • Apple experience is a plus.
  • Linux server experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
  • Networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, routing, and switching.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • A willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Customer-focused attitude with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
