Dircks Moving & Logistics is seeking an Operations Manager who will be involved in interactions with our customers, Operations, and Customer Support while ensuring we deliver the highest quality service to our customers.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
- Developing and implementing SOPs to standardize best practices and continually improve operations.
- Ensure all documentation and WMS are audit ready.
- Manage employee scheduling.
- Ensuring that goods are received into WMS correctly.
- Reporting on warehouse activity to customer and management.
- Acts as first point of contact for customer escalations.
- Works with sales and operations to ensure delivery of services offered.
- Participates in annual budgeting.
- Manages P&L for location.
- Partners with HR department on training and development of team, including reviews, discipline, hiring, and termination decisions.
- Works with VP of Logistics to ensure proper staffing, budgeting, maintenance, and management goals are met.
- Manages safety program for the branch.
- Performs regular warehouse inspections, recommending space allocation, and procedure changes to the VP of Logistics.
- Inventory reconciliation. Investigating inventory issues, including customer discrepancies, damage, or missing product.
- Manages facility and equipment maintenance, ensuring equipment and facility are operational.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages up to 4 employees. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) or equivalent from a four-year college. Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in warehouse management. Logistics industry experience required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Bilingual (Spanish) preferred but not required.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
COMPUTER SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office, WMS – Core, excellent excel knowledge. Systems we use are
