Financial Services Litigation Associate Attorney

 Direct Counsel is partnered with an AmLaw 100 firm seeking a junior to mid-level litigation associate to join their Financial Services Litigation Practice Group in their Kansas City office. Interested candidates must possess a high level of academic achievement, solid law firm or judicial clerkship experience, and superb research, writing, and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Draft briefs, complaints, pretrial motions, memoranda, and discovery requests

• Represent clients in commercial real estate, distressed loans, debt and security instruments, and creditor and lender liability matters

• Engage in legal research and case preparation

• Collaborate with clients and colleagues in a dynamic and collaborative learning environment

• Support the growth and development of the national practice

Qualifications:

• JD and active Missouri Bar admission required

• 3 years of litigation experience in commercial real estate, distressed loans, debt and security instruments, or creditor and lender liability

• Significant legal writing experience

• Ambition, drive, and team-orientation to support the national practice
