Position : Mid to Senior Level Litigation Associate

Direct Counsel is collaborating with a leading law firm seeking a mid to senior level associate to support their San Francisco Office’s Litigation Practice Group. This role presents a unique opportunity for a motivated attorney to engage in a variety of complex business litigation matters. The successful candidate will collaborate with experienced trial attorneys on significant cases while handling their own litigation assignments, providing an excellent avenue for professional growth and development within a dynamic team.
Responsibilities :
- Review fact patterns and conduct thorough analyses, providing accurate legal recommendations.
- Effectively analyze legal issues and present clear insights to support case strategy.
- Serve as second chair on complex cases or first chair on simpler matters.
- Assist lead trial attorneys in all pre-trial issues and proceedings, ensuring thorough preparation.
- Prepare complex pre-trial motions and other legal documentation with precision.
- Assist in evaluating and implementing strategies for pre-trial preparation and witness preparation.
- Demonstrate experience in drafting and arguing pre-trial motions in both Federal and State courts.
- Independently manage a small case with minimal or no supervision, showcasing proactive case management skills.
- Handle moderately complex commercial cases independently.
- Prepare motions for summary judgment and effectively prepare depositions.
- Skillfully take complex deposition testimony, demonstrating strong advocacy skills.
- Exhibit a breadth of experience in various substantive areas of law.

Compensation : The salary range for this position is between $180,000 and $230,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
