Direct Counsel is seeking a Mid-Level to Senior Direct Lending Associate or Special Counsel to join a top-tier law firm with a renowned finance practice. Compensation:
- Salary range: $260,000 – $435,000, based on experience and class year

Responsibilities:
- Advise on direct lending transactions, including both investment-grade and middle-market loans
- Draft and negotiate credit agreements, intercreditor agreements, and other loan documentation
- Represent lenders and borrowers in structuring complex financing arrangements
- Work closely with clients and a high-performing team on large-scale lending transactions
Qualifications:
- Class of 2022 or earlier with experience in direct lending, credit facilities, or leveraged finance
- Strong background in loan structuring, documentation, and negotiation
- Excellent drafting and communication skills
- Admission to the New York Bar preferred
