What are the responsibilities and job description for the Natural Resources Associate Attorney position at Direct Counsel?
A national law firm is seeking an Environmental Law Associate to add to their team in Denver, Co. Their Natural Resources group represents clients in complex litigation, administrative proceedings, and transactions pertaining to water rights, hazardous waste contamination, mining, oil and gas, public lands, and air quality.
Qualifications:
- JD from accredited law school
- CO Bar Admission preferred but open to other states
- 1-5 years of experience in general environmental practice
- Knowledge in the areas of natural resources law: NEPA, ESA, CAA, CWA, BLM leasing, USFS permitting
- Experience with natural resources litigation, industry experience in energy, infrastructure development and use, agency rulemaking, water rights, water quality, and enforcement proceedings.

Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary will range between $200,000- $230,000 depending on experience
- Discretionary bonus may be available based on performance
