We're Looking For: A talented individual with a solid electronics background and hands-on experience in designing and building PLC-based electronic control systems for industrial applications.
Your Skills and Experience:
- Communication Pro: Stellar verbal and written communication skills are a must, as you'll interact and coordinate with various internal and external (customer) departments.
- PLC Maestro: Proficiency in PLC programming and ladder logic.
- Networking Whiz: Experience with TCP/IP and integrating control systems (such as DCS, HMI, SCADA, or similar) into networks (Windows, Cisco, etc.) is highly desirable.
- Hands-On Experience: Previous work in designing, building, and implementing electronic control (or DCS, HMI, SCADA, or similar) systems.
- Diagram Guru: Skilled in reading, defining, and interpreting electrical diagrams, one-line diagrams, or block level diagrams (AutoCAD experience is a plus).
- Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail with a sense of urgency and exceptional customer service/relationship management skills.
- Business Savvy: Focused on ROI and profitability of the systems you design and build.
- Educational Background: A college degree in Electrical Engineering (or similar) or relevant training with a focus on electronics is preferred.
- Eager to Learn: Willingness to expand your knowledge in areas such as:
- Understanding contract terms and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Coordinating field engineering system start-ups and cutovers.
- Collaborating with technical customers to modify initial specs and system orders based on changes and available solutions.
- Managing electronic system packing lists and billing paperwork (BOM/Bill of Materials); documenting systems with how-to guides, reference manuals, system start-up lists, etc.
- Coordinating electronic system builds with various teams, including design-build electronics engineering, manufacturing/QA/QC, external vendors, customers, sales, field engineering, and software.
- Researching new and existing technologies, including electrical, infrastructure/network connectivity, and UI software/database reporting.
- Experience with control systems software (WonderWare, iFix, or similar) is a plus.
