Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Food Safety Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining food safety within our facility by enforcing food safety policies, conducting inspections, verifying product compliance, and ensuring accurate documentation of food safety protocols. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties:
- Enforce food safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Good Handling Practices (GHP) policies throughout the facility.
- Verify the accuracy of information across multiple databases and be able to upload verified documents into the appropriate databases securely and efficiently.
- Conduct pre-operational inspections, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation before operations commence.
- Oversee and enforce proper cleaning and sanitization procedures within the facility.
- Conduct PCT sample collection and testing to ensure product safety and compliance.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Operations, Shipping, QA) and other regions to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in food safety, quality assurance, or related fields within the produce or food industry.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, GMP, GHP, and HACCP principles.
- Bilingual
Requirements:
- Strong computer fluency e.g., Windows, Word, Outlook
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to prioritize tasks and work independently.
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and holidays as needed.
- Strong knowledge of produce quality and grade.
