We are seeking a highly skilled Network Analyst - Intermediate - to work at Fort Huachuca in Sierra Vista, AZ .
As a Network Analyst is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting computer networks within an organization, including tasks like analyzing network performance, identifying issues, configuring network devices, ensuring security, and providing technical support to resolve network problems; essentially optimizing network operations to facilitate efficient data communication across the company's systems.
Key Responsibilities :
- Network design and planning
- Analyzing organizational needs to design network architecture, including local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and cloud infrastructure.
- Installing and configuring network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls) and software, including operating systems and network protocols.
- Monitoring network performance metrics like bandwidth usage, latency, and packet loss to identify potential issues.
- Diagnosing and resolving network connectivity problems, including hardware failures, software conflicts, and security breaches.
- Implementing network security protocols and best practices to protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats.
- Forecasting future network needs and recommending upgrades to hardware and software
- Performing regular network backups and ensuring data recovery capabilities
- Providing technical assistance to users regarding network connectivity and troubleshooting issues
- Maintaining accurate network documentation including diagrams, configuration details, and troubleshooting guides
- Strong understanding of networking protocols like TCP / IP, UDP, and routing protocols
- Proficiency with network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers
- Knowledge of network security concepts and best practices
- Experience with network monitoring tools and analysis software
- Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Good communication skills to interact with users and technical teams
