Skilled Laborer: $19.20 to $32.00

Heavy Equipment Operator: $22.80 to $38.00

Job Summary:
DIRKS HEAVY CONTRACTORS are expanding operations and seeking motivated Laborers, Skilled Laborers & Equipment Operators to support ongoing Utility Service as well as Civil and Commercial Dirt Work Projects. We are looking for individuals with a strong work ethic, proven experience and a stable work history. At Dirks Honesty, Integrity and experience are valued and rewarded!

Qualifications:
- Experience in heavy equipment operation, specifically with hydraulic excavators, bulldozers, front-end loaders, motor graders, scrapers and dump trucks.
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and maintenance of equipment.
- Valid commercial driver's license for transporting equipment to job sites is preferred.
- Familiarity with construction sites and equipment checks including basic equipment maintenance.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions: year round work.
- Strong customer service skills for interacting with clients on construction projects

Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, and backhoes on construction sites.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and maintain equipment.
- Drive commercial vehicles like dump trucks, water trucks, and graders safely and efficiently.
- Perform tasks outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through quality work and excellent service.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines while working on construction projects.

-Operates and/or assists trucks in the loading, hauling and unloading of equipment, materials and supplies.

-Opertates jackhammers, hand operated compactors, mowers, brush chippers and other small equipment and tools.

-Performs daily safety inspections, maintenance inspections and performs cleaning and service on assigned equipment.

-Performs a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor.
