Job Summary
As the Landscaping Foreman, you will be responsible for leading a team of landscapers to complete high-end planting projects and maintain our client's landscapes. You will oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring quality work and efficient project execution. Leadership, landscaping expertise, and ability to track project details and materials are essential to this role.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of landscapers on high-end planting and maintenance projects.
- Supervise and direct all aspects of landscape installations, including planting, pruning, fertilizing, and other routine treatments.
- Demonstrate strong time management skills, anticipating project needs and ensuring tasks are completed efficiently, on schedule, and up to our quality standards.
- Provide hands-on support and guidance to team members in both planting and maintenance tasks.
- Safely operate company vehicles, equipment, and tools, including towing trailers.
- Ensure all equipment is in good working condition and properly maintained.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed on all job sites and that work is completed in compliance with local regulations.
- Assist with training new team members and fostering a positive work environment.
- Track and submit project details, materials, and progress in real-time, ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation for each job.
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates on project progress and any changes.
Skills
- Proven experience in landscape design and maintenance with a strong understanding of horticulture.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise a diverse team effectively.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in lawn care techniques including mowing, fertilization, and pest management.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Ability to safely tow trailers and operate landscaping equipment.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding outdoor environment.
