The Role
As our Copywriter, you’ll take the lead on cleaning up and refining our existing library of articles, helping to streamline our brand’s message across the entire buyer journey. Your primary focus will be on optimizing content for SEO, improving the reader experience, and setting the stage for Dirt Legal to become the leading aggregator of industry-related news.
You'll report to the Director of Marketing and work closely with the SEO Manager, Email Marketer, UX Product Manager, and Digital Marketing Specialist to create a cohesive content strategy that aligns with our marketing goals and brand vision. There will be exciting opportunities for guest contributors, press opportunities, and collaboration with influencers in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Cleanup & Organization: Audit, edit, and optimize our existing content to improve SEO performance and reader engagement.
- Content Development: Collaborate with the team to create new, high-quality blogs and articles that position Dirt Legal as the leader in vehicle registration industry news and updates.
- Press Opportunities & Guest Contributions: Identify opportunities for businesses and influencers to contribute content or be quoted, building relationships with key industry players.
- Content Strategy: Help shape the content roadmap by contributing to long-term strategies for guest posts, email content, and social media integration.
- SEO Best Practices: Ensure all content follows SEO guidelines, including keyword optimization, proper hyperlinking, and use of metadata.
- Collaboration: Work alongside the SEO Manager, Email Marketer, and Digital Marketing Specialist to create consistent messaging across channels.
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of experience in content creation, blog writing, copywriting, SEO, and an understanding of digital marketing.
- Proven ability to organize and optimize large volumes of content.
- Understanding of email and social media campaigns, with a strong focus on improving the full buyer journey and SEO.
- Experience with CRM and other tools such as WordPress, Hubspot, Insightly
- Familiarity with SEO guidelines, legal language, following brand guidelines, hyperlinking strategies, and product placement in content.
- Desire to contribute to the growth of a startup-like environment and help build a brand from the ground up.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field (preferred).
