We are poised for growth and are thrilled to welcome a creative, compassionate and experienced Program Manager to lead, manage, and provide accountability for workforce development staff and program development. In this important role you’ll lead the planning, development, implementation, and management of all aspects of Disability Advocates workforce development and employment services. We can’t wait for this new chapter and the positive impact it will have on the lives of our consumers!
You could be the right person for this important seat if you have:
1) A bachelor’s degree in social work, non-profit management, or a related field, with a master’s degree preferred. Relevant experience may be considered.
2) A minimum of three years of experience in program or department management, non-profit management, or team supervision.
3) A commitment to and knowledge of the Independent Living movement and philosophy and person-first perspective.
4) Knowledge about needs and services on a wide variety of independent living and employment issues for people with disabilities.
5) Experience supervising a variety of program activities and staff.
6) Experience providing community outreach, collaborating with partners, and the development of new services while improving existing ones.
7) Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and keen attention to detail.
8) Robust technology skills. Whether you’re crafting polished documents and materials or expertly planning and coordinating programs, you’re adept with Microsoft Office, video conferencing platforms, and a variety of web-based applications.
9) Strong oral communication skills, including public speaking, and are a highly organized self-starter.
10) Clear, crisp, elevated writing and communication with swift response and follow-up.
