Disability Service Provider Network (DSPN) is seeking a Assistant Director of Finance to become part of our dynamic and growing association.
The position will financially manage a critical contract between DSPN and WisDOT. DSPN coordinates services with local area Providers who then employ those with physical, intellectual, and developmental disabilities. The Assistant Director of Finance is the financial conduit between DSPN, our Providers, and WisDOT. The Assistant Director of Finance will oversee the DSPN-WisDOT financial obligations to ensure inspectors and projects are quickly and properly funded according to our contract.
We represent the interests of disability service providers for both residential and non-residential services, including center-based and supported employment, job training and placement, competitive integrated employment, care management, Community Based Residential Facilities (CBRFs), Adult Family Homes (AFHs), supported living arrangements, day services, early intervention, and other services that enable people with disabilities and economic disadvantages to live and work in their local communities.

Position: Assistant Director of Finance

Responsibilities:
- Directs the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, WisDOT productivity dashboards.
- Work with Providers to ensure requests and purchase orders are approved and acted on according to the WisDOT contract.
- Sends monthly financial information to the DSPN Board of Directors and presents them in-person at their quarterly meetings
- Participates in weekly meetings with WisDOT to share financial data
- Works with the WisDOT and the DSPN CEO to coordinate the annual contract budgeting process
Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent management and project management skills.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Proficient in database and accounting computer application systems.
- Works well under timelines and project deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance required.
- Certified Public Accountant certification preferred.
- Five years of experience in financial management is desired.
- Experience with Wisconsin state departments and/or WisDOT, and their communication pathways preferred.
- Knowledge of the state budgetary process is preferred.
