Position Summary: The CDS Reimbursement Specialist reviews and identifies rejected and
denied claims, correcting, appealing and resubmitting as necessary.
Tasks
- Primary billing contact for each assigned office.
- Manages accounts receivable and billing for assigned accounts.
- Reduce aging buckets exceeding 90 days and maintain accounts receivable under 90
- Work the “Notice of Denial” report according to established procedures
- Work the “Rejection Report” according to established procedures.
- Work all invoices nearing Timely Filing Deadline.
- Initiate Adjustment and Write-off requests according to established procedures.
- Update “Rejection Report” and notify appropriate personnel on department protocol.
- Download R&S Reports and apply payments and adjustments as needed.
- Performs quarterly/year end budget audits.
- Ensure that billing documentation is completed correctly.
- Ensure all billing is done within period set by Billing Manager.
- Assists in problem solving with Service Advisors and Payroll Specialists regarding client or
- Follow up on denied and unpaid claims via online portal and telephone
- Initiate refunds per company policies.
- Observe confidentiality policies at all times.
- Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Experience And Education
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Two (2) to three (3) years billing experience preferred.
- Must be able to demonstrate competence with computer applications such as MS Word and
- Must be able to type 35 wpm with 80% accuracy, 80% accuracy in Excel, and 6,000 to 8,000 keystrokes
Physical Requirements

- Finger dexterity required to manipulate objects with fingers rather than with words, hand(s)
