Description : ABOUT THE ROLE
The Benefits Administrator is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of group benefit programs (group health, dental, vision, Family Medical Leave, short-term and long-term
disability, life insurance, Health Savings Account and Flexible Spending Account). Provides excellent customer service and monitors benefit administration. Provide analytical and technical support in the delivery of the benefit programs.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Processes monthly invoices for provider premiums and weekly wire requests from providers.
- Assists with annual benefits enrollment, including testing various benefit changes and rate increases.
- Assists in the administration of the company's absence management (STD, FML, LTD) and wellness programs.
- Provides timely response to requests and questions regarding benefits, escalating complex issues to the Sr Benefits Analyst.
- Handles calls from retirees and troubleshoots issues.
- Provides Summary Plan Descriptions to new hires / enrollees.
- Coordinates life insurance claims for employees, dependents, and retirees with the provider.
- Provides demographic information, census requests, or ad-hoc requests for providers and / or consultants.
- Resolves administrative problems with carrier representatives.
- Other duties as assigned.
