Description : ABOUT THE ROLE

The Benefits Administrator is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of group benefit programs (group health, dental, vision, Family Medical Leave, short-term and long-term

disability, life insurance, Health Savings Account and Flexible Spending Account). Provides excellent customer service and monitors benefit administration. Provide analytical and technical support in the delivery of the benefit programs.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Processes monthly invoices for provider premiums and weekly wire requests from providers.
  • Assists with annual benefits enrollment, including testing various benefit changes and rate increases.
  • Assists in the administration of the company's absence management (STD, FML, LTD) and wellness programs.
  • Provides timely response to requests and questions regarding benefits, escalating complex issues to the Sr Benefits Analyst.
  • Handles calls from retirees and troubleshoots issues.
  • Provides Summary Plan Descriptions to new hires / enrollees.
  • Coordinates life insurance claims for employees, dependents, and retirees with the provider.
  • Provides demographic information, census requests, or ad-hoc requests for providers and / or consultants.
  • Resolves administrative problems with carrier representatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Education : High school diploma or equivalent, Preferred : Associate's degree
  • Field of Study Preferred : Human Resources or related field preferred
  • Required Work Experience : 1-2 years of experience. Experienc in benefits administration preferred.
  • Required Computer and Software Skills :
  • Proficient with computer applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point; experience working with Microsoft Access is a plus.
  • Additional Requirements :

  • Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Must be detail oriented and provide prompt and accurate administration. Knowledge of pertinent federal and state regulations, including ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, Section 125, and Medicare.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
