What are the responsibilities and job description for the Neonatal Clinical Nurse Specialist NICU CNS position at Disability Solutions?
A non profit Northern California Medical Center is actively seeking a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Clinical Nurse Specialist to provide leadership and education to their level III NICU.
The NICU CNS will report to the Director of Women’s Services and will collaborate with the NCIU Nurse Manager to ensure clinical competence of all NICU nursing staff.
The Clinical Nurse Specialist NICU will be a vital member of the Education department, providing best practice standard of care guidance. The NICU Clinical Nurse Specialist will work closely with Clinical Nurse Specialists from other specialty departments to collaborate regarding hospital wide Nursing Education standards and development.
The NICU CNS will have the opportunity to conduct research and use their findings to develop new policies and procedures. The NICU Clinical Nurse Specialist will use evidence based practices to develop new hire orientation and continuing education programs.
The NICU Clinical Nurse Specialist will work with a multidisciplinary team of dedicated physicians, Nurse Management, Pharmacists, Nurse Practitioners, and Registered Nurses, in a 30 bed level III NICU.
