What are the responsibilities and job description for the Network Operations Support Technician position at Disability Solutions?
Description
Our client is looking for a Network Operations Technician to join their NOC team in a 2nd shift capacity. We are looking for experience with Batch processing, Control M, Azure.
They will be joining a few other technicians on the team and will be taking escalation calls from the service desk and also working with the NOC Engineers.
There may be different shifts needed to be worked during training, until the consultant is available to work by themselves.
Key tasks will be, but are not limited to :
- Assists in monitoring all supported platforms in accordance with established routines.
- Responsible for ensuring stable operating environments and attaining maximum utilization of system facilities.
- Operates and monitors console systems and peripheral equipment such as printers and disk devices.
- Conducts routine (Operationalized) technical procedures, adding and running ad hoc jobs in the Enterprise Job Scheduler, user administration, participates in disaster recovery exercises, conduct code promotes, etc.
- Take first-level support calls to assist Service Desk.
- Maintains documentation.
This person will need to be proactive with their responsibilities. The manager does not want someone who will need to be told to do something every time the individual finishes their immediate responsibilities. They will be working with escalations from the service desk team & have severity levels of the issues. They are below.
Severity 1 – Immediate escalation to on call.
Severity 2 – Ops action required based on procedure referenced in the alert. If we are able to resolve a call is usually not necessary, but follow the referenced doc. If we are unable to resolve it, it becomes a Severity 1, it is escalated to the on call.
Severity 3 –Ops action required based on procedure referenced in the alert. A call is NOT place regardless of the outcome of our actions.
Severity 4 – Ticket, no other escalation

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00
