Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Event Technician, Audio Visual to join our team. As an Event Technician, you will be responsible for the set up and operation of basic/small-scale audiovisual systems in a hospitality environment while ensuring complete customer satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure a flawlessly executed event through accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of basic audiovisual equipment.
- Meet with guests on site to ensure that their needs are met, and the equipment setup is working properly.
- Monitor events and check in on customers throughout the day.
- Understand the technical aspects of the job and demonstrate basic operational ability to troubleshoot and problem solve with equipment and software issues.
- Handle equipment challenges and changes in a timely and professional manner.
- Use the equipment sheets to determine the equipment scheduled for set up and for strike. Interact with other staff and outside vendors for equipment.
- Increase revenue by utilizing floor up-selling techniques.
Requirements
- 1 year of audio-visual experience or equivalent in an educational environment is preferred.
- Ability to work irregular hours and on-call status including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must adhere to appearance guidelines as defined by Encore based in a warehouse environment and when traveling.
- High-end audio-visual equipment and electrical components knowledge.
