Duration: 10-12 weeks (Summer 2025) M-F In-Office

The Industrial Engineer Intern provides research, basic analysis, and helps higher level Industrial Engineer’s with solutions for store processes; develops labor standard configurations through process mapping, collaborates with stores and staff to improve processes, and performs time motion studies.  Aims to provide insight on labor and improve efficiency of store operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Contributes to store process analysis following standard IE tools. (Process/Value Stream mapping).
• Participates in developing a labor standard management tool (Excel) for Workforce Management.
• Performs time studies to support and validate labor standards executing on data collection plan.
• Helps identify opportunities for improvement in store processes.
• Completes work in a timely and accurate manner while providing exceptional customer service.
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 0-2 years related experience
• Understanding of standard engineering
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is necessary.
• Proficient in UMT time study software a plus.
• Proficient in Arena simulation software a plus.
• Proficient analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy.
• The ability to work efficiently under pressure, accurately meet deadlines, present a professional demeanor, and work well independently is essential.
• Customer service skills, including the ability to manage and respond to different customer situations while maintaining a positive friendly attitude are essential.
• In addition, organizational and problem-solving skills, a can-do attitude, and the ability to adjust to changing requirements are essential.
• Maintaining confidentiality, treating others with respect and upholding Company values are key attributes.
